Manufacturing Engineer

ARM are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to work with a leading client in the Nuclear Defence industry.
What you’ll be doing
- You will provide technical support to operations and execute Manufacturing Engineering activities to develop, maintain and continuously improve manufacturing processes and/or methods of manufacture, which are capable of meeting and continuing to meet business and customer requirements for safety, quality, cost, deliver rate and lead time (SQCD).
- Development, implementation, validation, maintenance and control of Methods of Manufacture to realise part designs.
- Creation and maintenance of the technical package for the shop floor for the manufacture of parts. This will include Technical Instructions, Manufacturing Stage Drawings, Production Routers and control them effectively.
- Use of Build in Quality tools such as Process Maps, Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEAs), and Control Plans and resolve technical problems and exercise professional judgement
- Verifying the design intent has been met and capture, analyse and use data to demonstrate and improve the current and future capability of manufacturing processes
What do you need to succeed?
- A passion to succeed and a vision of how modern manufacturing should be achieved.
- Possessing understanding of manufacturing processes relevant to the business and awareness of Manufacturing Systems (CAD, CAM, CAPP, Manufacturing Execution System, Manufacturing Intelligence, SAP, Technical Publications or similar).
- Having good understanding of Manufacturing Engineering processes
- Have good communications skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
- Degree qualified or HNC qualified within a relevant subject
