Network Security Engineer

NETWORK SECURITY ENGINEER - MANCHESTER – 12 MONTH CONTRACT – £350 PER DAY

We are looking for a Network Security Engineer for a company at the forefront of the rail industry in the UK. The role is a 12 month contract based in Manchester.

About You:

• You will have experience in a SOC/NOC environment.
• You will understand incident response processes and how incidents should be managed.
• You will have experience in event log analysis and network traffic packet capture.
• You will have a strong understanding of networking and security technologies.
• You will have experience in system hardening.
• Ideally, you will have security qualifications.
• Ideally, you will have knowledge of network technologies and management systems.

What you will be doing:

You will be working in a team of 12 to monitoring, evaluating, and responding to security technologies and understanding the threats and vulnerabilities. You will be providing a real time log recognising recording attempted or successful intrusions and compromises to provide network and data security.

This role is based in Manchester, with a shift pattern consisting of both days and nights in 12 hour shifts.

This position has a day rate of £300 - £350, based on experience and suitability. The role is inside IR35.
