My client, a leading design, engineering, and landscape architecture consultancy are currently looking for Drainage Design Engineers to join their Flood and Water Management Team across the UK.
About You:
- You will have skills in organisation, communication, numeracy, and English literacy
- You will have a degree in Civil or Structural Engineer or equivalent
- You will have demonstrable experience in delivering drainage packages through software (including MicroDrainage Civil3D and InfoDrainage
- You will have the ability to communicate at all levels as well as completely work to a deadline
- You will have a proactive approach to systems and projects
- You will have experience within drainage and SUDs design, this will be in either a private sector or a local authority
- You will be able to able your technical experience and knowledge to analyse problems, you will then create solutions for these.
- You will have self-motivation
- You will be able to complete work to quality standards – in relation to the project you are on
- You will be able to demonstrate a professional attitude
- You will be working toward a professional qualification as well as undertaking training
What you will be doing:
- You will work as part of a team
- You will learn new skills, wit the guidance of those around you
- You will help with the preparation of reports
- You will comply with Health and Safety, environmental and managerial procedures
- You will design, model and document civil infrastructure components in relation to the projects this may include SUDs designs and hydraulic models
- You will assist in the preparing of contract documents
- You will be carrying out tasks, detailed from your Line Manager
- You will have the responsibility to produce drawings through AutoCAD and Civils3D
- You will deliver assigned tasks to time and agreed cost
- You will contribute to the shared workload within the business
- You will analyse problem with drainage designs and develop solutions to help
- You will be responsible to communicate with clients, contractors, the public, suppliers and other engineers within the company and project
This position is remote; however, you are able to work within the local office if you wish.
This role is a permanent position, paying between £25,000 - £36,000 dependant on experience
