Advanced Resource Managers require an Avionic Skilled Production Technician to join a busy international client on a contract basis.
Working on new award winning and state-of-the-art solar powered ultralight weight CFRP Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) for use in both commercial and military applications, you’ll be a major part of the operations team who are responsible for the design, build, operation and maintenance of the aircraft throughout its entire lifecycle.
Experiencing phenomenal growth at the moment and, as a result, our client has a number of new roles that are being created for Skilled Manufacturing Technicians.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
• Avionic equipment assembly, test, installation, wiring and system integration of UAV's platforms
• Maintain build records and self-certification of works completed
• Continuous Improvement of the production system
• Contribution to Problem Solving and corrective action delivery
• Safe handling and protection of very fragile and flexible components
Skills & Experience
Naturally the successful candidate will have an academic qualifications in an avionic/electronic engineering discipline and /or time served apprenticeship in avionic/electronic manufacture / installation / test.
You will be a hands-on multi-skilled practical avionic/electronic engineering technician, confident to conduct and record installation and system integration tests.
Have previously demonstrated knowledge of production/maintenance processes to high quality standards, with the ability to read and understand engineering drawings and interpret requirements into finished products.
Showing demonstrated experience pro-actively solving technical problems, with experience of hands-on production of avionic hardware and wiring installations.
You will enjoy providing technical input and advice to design teams and peers on manufacturing procedures, issues and ideas for improvement.
Reporting into the Project Production Operations Manager, you'll join their ground breaking production team, based in Farnborough, Hampshire, UK with a contract duration of an initial 6 months, you will be paid a competitive Ltd daily rate working Monday to Friday.
