Up to £40,000
I am currently recruiting for a very well established organisation who are looking for a Commodity Manager to join their purchasing department on a permanent basis in Lancashire paying up to £40,000p/a.
What you will be doing on a day to day basis:
-Management of multifunctional teams concentrating on cost, negotiation, sourcing and product change within a complex supplier package.
-Achievement and reporting of Company targets on cost control, quality improvement and lead time improvement.
-Development of partnership relationships with vendors within holder's package.
-Work with suppliers to implement the clients Cost Management Programme and ensure Six Sigma projects are defined and implemented.
-Understand commodities managed at multiple levels and develop short, medium and long term commodity strategies.
-Manage a complex and varied workload, ensuring attention is maintained on key actions.
What you are expected to know:
-Very strong interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills.
-Good commercial awareness.
-Confident presenter at senior management level.
-Good Quality, Engineering, Process and Materials background.
-CIPS Membership (Desirable).
-Self-motivated, flexible and team player with ability to meet deadlines.
-Demonstrable administrative and IT skills.
-Degree qualified (Essential).
-Six Sigma Greenbelt (Desirable).
-Passport - Willing to travel on a regular basis and prepared to spend time away from home & abroad.
