Lead the Program Management Team ensuring the delivery of all Powertrain Programs on time and in budget, defining and applying a common management methods, procedures and tools across all Programs to enhance synergies and strategies.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
" Collect from the Strategy Team/Product Planning/CEO the Vehicle targets and attributes, and cascade them into the Program Team and Powertrain commodities.
" Discuss with the Head of Powertrain Engineering and the Functional Groups the Vehicle performance requirements to define, agree and propose to the Vehicle Team adequate solutions to match technical and financial targets
" Control and manage all the Powertrain budget spending (R&D, investments and resources) across the different Powertrain platforms supported by the Powertrain Managers in collaboration with Finance.
" Responsible to guarantee the accuracy of budgets and initiatives provided by the Powertrain Manager Team and ensure the coherence of the spending across the different Programs.
" Enhance the use of the same program management tools, formats, server structures and project management standards across all the Powertrain Functions to make the internal process lean and the way to communicate and feedback the information easier and faster.
" Lead the Program Management Team to enhance synergies and strategies to improve the reliability of the development process and to increase the efficiency of the processes itself to reduce the R&D cost.
" Organize and chair regular meetings to update Powertrain Chief on the overall Programs behaviour
" Liaise and contribute with the Head of Vehicle Programs to establish a common way to process the data and share the information and create common standards to make the data management leaner.
" Responsible to optimise the meeting structure and internal processes revising with the Senior levels in Powertrain and in Vehicle with the task to lead the decision and track the guidelines of program management with the target to be the reference for efficiency of Company Program Management.
" Standardization of the reporting across all the programs focus on a lean communication between senior management
Qualifications & Experience:
" Min 10 years' experience in leading powertrain/automotive project Teams.
" Min 5 years' experience to lead managers
" Technical knowledge of powertrain and automotive components and systems releasing.
" Excellent knowledge of product development process.
" Experience of working in a cross functional and international team.
" Program management experience from other OEMs
" Written and fluent spoken German language
" Master's degree in engineering or equivalent
