Are you a Design Quality Assurance Engineer looking for your next opportunity and want to work for a well-established leading manufacturer of security printing products?
I am currently recruiting for a Design Assurance Engineer on a permanent basis to work at our headquarters in Basingstoke paying up to £44,000p/a (depending on level of experience)
As the Design Quality Engineer you will work within the QA & Technical section, liaising closely with colleagues under the control of the Design Department heads to Quality check and precisely determine that all work passing through Design is fit for purpose.
What you will be doing on a day to day basis:
-To check all material passed through the departments is of high quality standard, meets the customer requirements and will be fit for manufacture. Including:
Review and approval of all data from Technical Design.
-To assist/participate in Design Review and Studio Handover meetings ensuring that Designs, SPO's and internal instructions are fit for purpose.
-Own and conduct the Proof review process, collating all relevant inputs in a timely manner to support the sales and manufacturing teams.
-Participate in the Proof Approval meeting as voice of Design, ensuring all materials are created, correct and in good order for Manufacturing.
-Review and approval of Factory materials before distribution to site.
-Review and approve Engravings before use in Technical Design.
-Uploading of Designs, responding to requests and inputting into the Currency Virtual Team (CVT).
-Assist with DFM Reviews and DFMEA's of new designs.
Liaise directly with the clients manufacturing sites regarding Technical issues, including travelling to sites when necessary.
What you will be expected to know:
-Experience in working with ISO accreditations preferred.
-Experience in writing procedures, process maps, process flows, SOP's etc.
-A confident outlook and comfortable in speaking to groups of people for training.
- Ideally experience working within either a Manufacturing or Pharmaceutical environment
- Process, auditing and validation experience.
- Design background would be attractive.
Due to the nature of the environment you will be required to undergo security clearance so you will need to hold a British passport or a valid visa with proof that you have lived and worked in the UK for the last 5 years.
