Logistics / Stores Coordinator
Specific Job Description
Accountable to the SWS Waterfront Support Manager under the direction of Trident Training Facility (Future) Project Lead for the management of stores and documentation across the TTF(F) Installation Project to ensure delivery of contracted technical outputs to schedule and quality.
- On receipt of documentation ensure it is updated to the correct revision and issued to stakeholders when required
- Execute logistics plan to move equipment to required sub-contractors
- Coordinate and oversee inventory of equipment using a Stores Management System
- Provide equipment to stakeholders ensuring the management system is updated to track accountability
- Management of the installation tool kit to meet I&C requirements
- Update the ECV database to reflect TTF(F) as fitted equipment
- Co-ordinate onward transmittal of equipment as directed to support the Dreadnought programme.
- Ensure stock management system is accurate and available for audit by the authority
- Work as a fully integrated member of the TTF Team
- Assist department manager and engineers in their tasks to ensure customer needs are met
- Attend required training as assigned and directed by the personal training profile.
Required skills, qualifications and experience
- Experience of logging and record keeping for stores/stock information for goods in and goods out, ideally on an electronic Stores/Stock Management System.
- Maintains quality throughout the logistic processes
- Clear and concise written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills are essential, as well as having the ability to communicate effectively, formally and informally, with a wide range of people including project team members, subcontractors and suppliers through to high level customer representatives
- Be IT literate in the most common PC based systems
- Be flexible and adaptable while still maintaining good attention to detail
- Have evidence of ability and willingness to adapt within a dynamic environment
- Be enthusiastic, motivated, reliable, show initiative and be able to work to deadlines
Desired skills, qualifications and experience
- Good working knowledge of SWS documentation
- Experience in logistics management preferred
- Knowledge of the SWS Logistics process
- Proven experience in SSP design and development processes
- Experience and knowledge of the respective individual systems comprising the SWS
- Understanding of the Polaris Sales Agreement and its background
- Understanding of the Trident Systems Project Team
- Pro-active approach to providing solutions to emergent challenges and have a questioning attitude
- Able to take ownership of tasks as delegated by manager or engineers
- Promote a positive culture towards health and safety.
