R&D Team Leader
I am currently recruiting for a R&D Team Leader to join the Life Safety Division. The well-established organisation manufactures a comprehensive range of mains and emergency lighting solutions for commercial and industrial applications based in Cwmbran. They are paying £45,000 - £55,000.
As an R&D Team Leader you will be responsible for time line management of mechanical and hardware engineers to ensure that projects are delivered on time.
What you'll be doing on a day to day basis:
-Working closely with Software Team leader and other engineering managers along with Principal Engineers to develop timelines, project plans and identify resource requirements to ensure project completion.
-Dealing with the management process within the R&D team, investigation of customer concerns/quality issues and managing obsolescence process for current production products.
-Ensuring the engineering process is followed in order to deliver parts from concept to production based on V-Cycle concept
-Using MS project for project planning
-Implementing system engineering principles on projects to aid project delivery
-Using failure analysis techniques such as dFMEA/PFMEA, 8D, A3
-Interfacing to OEM customers with regard to project status and issue resolution
What you are required to know:
-Have knowledge of Mechanical engineering
-Have knowledge of Hardware engineering
-Excellent project management skills and team leadership of diverse teams of engineers
-BA degree (preferably in electronics)
