ECOLOGIST – NORTHERN IRELAND

3 to 12 MONTH CONTRACT – MARKET RATES

ARM are working with a leading infrastructure company, to be based in Northern Ireland and we are looking for an Ecologist on a contract basis.

We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience;

• A degree qualified person within either ecology, zoology, geography or biology.
• Significant post graduate experience as an ecologist within a consultancy or similar setting
• Membership of CIEEM or similar body, ideally working towards chartership.
• Demonstrable experience within design, site surveys and delivering EcIA and AA
• Protected species survey licence experience
• Experience of using ArcGIS
• You will need to hold a driving licence and be able to travel to sites for this role.

This role will be working within Belfast (from home initially) with site visits within Northern Ireland. You will be working within an existing team of ecologists and will be 60% desk based and 40% field based. This will include report writing including PEA,EcIA, HRA and BNG assessments. Assisting with client contact, bids, project management. Surveys will include UKHab surveys and Phase 1 Habitat surveys that will include surveying for protected species.

This is a contract position and will be inside IR35. Contracts can be offered at between 3 and 12 months, depending on your preference. Rates are market rate and can be discussed upon application.
