Senior Engagement Consultant

My client, a highways design, traffic engineering and landscape architecture consultancy are seeking a Senior Engagement Consultant to join them on a permanent basis at their central Manchester based location.

As a business, my client runs effective engagement projects for our clients, such as consultations, stakeholder meetings, public events and workshops, as a means to ensure that the community and key stakeholders are involved in the designs and solutions they create.

You will be joining an in-house team that devise and implement consultation and communication strategies working alongside their clients to finalise objectives, messages.

As a the Senior Engagement Consultant you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of consultations; building strong relationships with clients and working with them to agree messaging and content, organising workshops and drop-in sessions, managing the consultation portal, and regular monitoring and reporting of surveys.  

The role requires a strong understanding of the requirements for consultation and engagement, good written skills, excellent time management and the ability to work collaboratively within a team, seeking technical input from other disciplines to create fully integrated solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective consultation solutions for our clients
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget and that the liaison with the client is exceptional
• Provide high-quality support to internal teams to help achieve project objectives 
• Manage project budgets and consultant utilisation

The ideal candidate:

• Experience in the design and delivery of public consultations
• Ability to build effective working relationships with clients and colleagues
• Produce clear and concise plans, reports, surveys, web copy and promotional materials, translating technical detail into plain English
• Experience of data collection and basic analysis
• Educated to degree level
• InDesign / Photoshop knowledge would be an advantage but not essential

Interviews will be carried out remotely, and working from home can be accommodated should this be required based on start date.
