Location: Portsmouth/Wokingham/ London

Salary £70,000-£80,000+ & 10% Bonus

Overview:

A well-established managed service provider is currently going through a period of growth and is looking for a Principal Network Consultant who has experience with enterprise customers within the financial service industry. As a Principal Network Consultant, you will be responsible for the high-level network architecture design, business process consulting, development, and deployment. They are looking for someone who has experience with Cisco ACI architecture within data center environments. This will involve a combination of high-performance hardware and software innovation and intelligence integrated with Open flow-based-SDN solutions; overlays and centralized control within enterprise environments. They are open to flexible working as this position will involve working from home, customer sites, and office-based (post covid)

Responsibilities:

• Cisco ACI
• Strong knowledge of IP routing, VLANs, Access Control Lists and Network Address Translation.
• Data Centre Migration experience
• Proven experience as a successful technical network consultant with customer relationship management, technical pre-/post-sales experience, and exposure to people management.
• Provide subject matter expertise
• HLD/LLD and oversee key areas of analysis and technical decision-making.
• Professional service background supporting enterprise clients ideally within the Financial sector
• Experience with pre-sales engagement.
• CCNP CCIE qualified
• Demonstrable ability to work as a consultant to CIO/IT Director level.

Beneficial knowledge

• Solid understanding of Linux/Unix Administration
• Server Hardware Troubleshooting experience
• Server Booting: POST, BIOS, PXE, Kickstart, GRUB/LILO, RAID
• Some Experience with Network Protocols: TCP/IP, Ethernet, L2/L3 technologies
• Network Hardware: Copper and Optical Fiber Cabling, Switches, Routers
