Location: London

Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 + Car Allowance and 15% Bonus

My client is a well-established International Managed Service provider who is looking for a Network Automation Architect. They are looking for someone who operates as a trusted advisor to clients, both from a technology and a business perspective, helping to shape strategy, architecture, team structure and process. This role will involve travel to and from customer sites across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Create a strategy to expand clients’ automation skills and size to tackle a widening scope of P&E automation use cases
• Define and drive a pipeline of network automation use cases to deliver short term tangible business benefits with the existing automation tools
• Create a mid to long term technology roadmap for automation tools, drawing from industry experience and technological advances
• Define and evolve team structure and processes to facilitate agile development

Technical experience

• Has been involved in network automation in the telco industry (fixed or mobile) from an architect or designer role
• Has at least a basic understanding on key network automation languages and protocols, such as Python, YANG, JSON, YAML, JS, Ansible, NETCONF, REST APIs etc.
• Has the ability to articulate the business benefits of network automation to senior stakeholders (up to C-suite) and gain support for business cases, budget allocation, headcount increase etc.
• Has knowledge of general network principles and technology in WAN and LAN infrastructures
