Systems Engineer

ARM are recruiting for a Systems Engineer with experience of system modelling or requirements development for a permanent opportunity with a defence company in Harwell. This role suits someone who is in the early stages of their career.

This is a great opportunity to be involved in in the launch and development of U.K. based satellite launch program and the creation of the U.K.’s first spaceport.

The main responsibility of the Systems Engineer with experience of system modelling or requirements development based in Harwell will be to;

• Develop technical requirements for the creation of a vertical spaceport.
• Work on integrating an Orbital Manouvering vehicle (OMV) populated with multiple small satellites onto a small launch vehicle.
• Coordinate programme activities.
• Liaise with Governments to progress secondary legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, test and implement novel instrumentation and spacecraft concepts.

The ideal Systems Engineer able to work in Harwell will have experience of the following;

• System modelling or requirements development
• Application of systems engineering processes
• Design reviews
• Integration, test and/or verification

If you have experience of the below, this is considered a distinct advantage;

• Hands-on engineering laboratory experience.
• Environmental testing procedures and equipment.
• 3D CAD software
• Satellite ToolKit (STK)
