The demand for Development Engineers with performance & emissions (P&E) experience has really rocketed in recent times meaning that traditional durability engineering is less desirable and engine optimisation is on the up! With that in mind, an engines company near Derby are expanding in this area as they work hard to meet stage 5 emissions standards and are looking for a development engineer to join their close-knit team!

This will include specifying the hardware components for emission critical systems (i.e combustion system, turbocharger, fuel injection equipment, aftertreatment), base engine calibration development, aftertreatment control, dynamometer testing as well as some 1d simulation/CFD based work.
+ Ideally degree qualified in an engineering field, an MSc or PhD would be even better!
+ A sound knowledge of engineering principles.
+ A strong background within either diesel or gasoline calibration, either from a base engine or aftertreatment perspective.
+ Exposure to engine dynamometer testing, calibration development and engine optimisation.
+ Usage of industry standard calibration software tools, i.e. AVL Concerto or Cameo.
