***An Opportunity for an experienced Embedded System Security Researcher to join a internationally known software company and lead their team as a Security Research Lead***
**PLEASE NOTE - THERE WILL BE AN ELEMENT OF BEING OFFICE BASED & CLIENT WILLING TO ARRANGE RELOCATION FOR CLIENTS WITHIN UK**
My client - a well-known global software company penetration testing and threat intelligence services - is seeking an experienced Security Researcher with a number of years working on embedded systems to lead their internal Security Research team
As a Team Lead, you will manage a team of researchers working across UK & US sites, focussed specifically on the security of embedded systems
Duties will include:
Working closely alongside the Lead Security Research Architect to determine the research directions and strategy for the group
Planning and leading delivery on ambitious research projects in collaboration with your team
Acting as a security evangelist within the company and influencing future product development.
Serving as a figurehead for the client’s security story in order to liase with academic and industrial partners, as well as actively looking to forge future partnership opportunities.
What Experience Do You Need?
The main key skill you will need to have is multiple years working within Embedded Systems Security and identifying embedded threat within a CPU and embedded coding skills
You will be someone who immerses themselves in the security landscape and have opinions on where the important problems lie and what the research priorities should be.
You will have experience in implementing security mechanisms and architecture (hardware, firmware, software) for systems representative of the the client's ecosystem (mobile, IoT, infrastructure, automotive etc)
You have experience applying security principles to complex, real-world systems, and prototyping and evaluating new security technologies.
You are pro-active and dynamic, comfortable learning new, complex topics in detail and communicating them clearly to a variety of audiences
You will be someone who understands who to build & manager dynamic team and enjoys supporting your team members growth
You will have a number of years of experience developing low-level systems code (Linux kernel, hypervisors, network stacks, etc), and contributing to large open source projects.
You will be experienced in running research projects as well as research collaborations
