Our client is the single contractor providing specialist Waterfront In-Service Support to the Royal Navy's Trident Strategic Weapon System (SWS). The company plays a supporting role in the operational readiness of the nation's nuclear deterrent on board VANGUARD class Trident Submarines and provides the Ministry of Defence (MoD) with safe, efficient and responsive support. As part of the ABL Alliance with AWE and Babcock, they are also responsible for the management of operations at the Royal Naval Armaments Depot Coulport (RNAD(C)). Looking to the future
Programme Strategic Systems - Functional
Specific Job Description [JP]
Work as a fully integrated member of the Team at UK TTF in support of instructional requirements
Deliver instruction outputs as assigned
Support SWS operations in support of training outputs within TTF as assigned
Support US/UK forums as required by TTF-HOT/
Conduct reviews of training documentation iaw relevant Quality Processes
Shift working will be required in support of the RN Training and TEST Programme
Responsible for maintaining a working knowledge and understanding of approved documentation, mandatory health and safety legislation, acceptance standards and directives to ensure compliance with Trident Programme and Company requirements

Experience of instructional delivery

Defence training delivery qualification, Defence Train The Trainer (DTTT) or Defence Instructional Techniques (DIT)
Knowledge of the PSA and how it impacts UK training documentation
Experience in training environments and SWS equipment
Capable of building and maintaining customer relationships and debating technical issues with both Customer and Accreditor

Role Synopsis - What does this position do and why?
The team support the Royal Navy in running the Trident Training Facility their role is to ensure that all staff who need it are trained to the appropriate levels and their training kept up to date. Additional training to be provided to contractors as well as the Royal Navy.
This role will deliver technical/engineering training, both general and also specifically relating to the Launcher systems, to Royal Navy staff who operate the SWS systems. This will include delivering
You need SWS engineering experience and ideally some training delivery experience
You will need technical training delivery experience or good experience in hands on military systems engineering with good electro-mechanical experience.
Defence training background
Clear evidence of prior SWS experience and good mechanical/electro-mechanical background with knowledge of things like hydraulics, actuators, servos and pneumatics.
