Systems Engineer Avionics
Location: Wimborne (with remote working until further notice).
Duration: 26 weeks
Hours: 37 hours per week (plus overtime, paid at standard rate).
Rate: Up to £45.00 per hour pay (Limited) -
Our Client, a large aerospace engineering organisation are looking for 10 x Systems Engineers to be based out of Wimborne.
Day to Day:
Creates and manages the definition and requirements for a system, framework or product. Defines processes, system specifications, input/output and integration requirements.
The Engineering Team Member is responsible for applying discipline domain expertise to the design, development and delivery new products processes and technologies. The Engineering Team Member will typically be part of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) and will contribute to the performance of the IPT to ensure that the performance expectations are met or exceeded. The Engineering Team Member shall employ the appropriate discipline processes, practices and tools to ensure that responsibilities are completed to meet the required project requirements and discipline quality.
Application of discipline domain knowledge to the design, development and delivery of new products, processes and technologies on time, within budget and with required quality
Continued development of discipline competence and expertise
Application of, and compliance with, engineering processes and practices including the engineering framework, LCM and regulatory requirements
Identification of opportunities for improvement in discipline processes, practices and tools
Collaboration with IPT members to address project requirements
Collaboration with discipline peers within the BU and across the enterprise to share and learn best practice
Propose new technologies, materials and processes to maintain and grow our technology differentiations
Propose and develop new products
Contribute to business winning technical proposals
Applies standard engineering principles to well defined problems of moderate complexity.
Works primarily with other technical colleagues within the business unit/functional area/IPT to accomplish objectives. Analyses, develops and recommends design approaches to meet production requirements for new or improved products or processes
Essential Skills & Experience:
The business are looking at a wide range of Systems Engineers, but they will basically fall into two categories:
Systems Engineer (Avionics) – These will have a mix of Mechanical, Electrical and Avionics experience. They will have experience of full project life cycle systems engineering.
Systems Engineers (Mechanical) – These will be tasked with supporting production and will solve technical problems on the shop floor.
Will be an experienced Systems / Integration Engineer and solid experience of verification matrices
You will be working with sensitive data and as such you should be willing to undergo BPSS (Baseline) & Disclosure Barring Service Checks before being able to commence the contract
