Windows Automation Engineer
Location: Edinburgh - Client site and Remote Working (during lockdown)
Salary: Depending on the level of experience £45,000 – £75,000

My client is a specialist in Infrastructure IT, End-User Computing, and Cloud Technologies and delivers complex end-user and datacentre transformations for large corporate organisations across a variety of sectors including, banking, telecoms, and retail. They have identified the need to strengthen their existing Automation team with skilled resources with specific Ansible automation capabilities, in order to meet the levels of demand for the current project.
They are looking for an experienced Windows Automation Engineer to lead the team to maintain, support, install, configuration, and testing of legacy and new operating and system management systems. They are currently working with an automation framework which consists of 5 workstreams;
The client has a large (10k) windows server estate with a mature build. A degree of automation has been implemented although there are a number of automation areas that need to be developed including database and some backend security items with some 600 compliance checks. As well as the relevant Operating System skills, engineers will need skills in Ansible / Phyton / PowerShell / C#. Oracle on Linux is a must and SQL for Windows Automation.
