We are looking for Software Engineer specialising in firmware development, and can be based at either their Wilmslow or Cambridge site.
Engineer works in a team responsible for the implementation of firmware for the new, not yet introduced Mali architecture. The architecture is based on the Cortex-M central core, which manages the peripheral devices responsible for GPU functions. The work does not differ from normal work with microcontrollers.
Daily tasks are mainly around implementing specifications, writing unit tests and code reviews of other team members. Strong knowledge of C is required, especially C99. This includes strong knowledge of the GNU toolchain, so GCC and GDB.
Successful candidate shall demonstrate:
Strong knowledge of C, especially C99 variant
Working knowledge of GNU toolchain including GDB
Working knowledge of Git and Jira
