Software Engineer (Embedded)
£40-45k p/a dependent on experience
This role exists because our client is expanding their UK presence due to being really busy with lots of new customers.
You will be involved straight away in the design, development, test and debug of Software Development Tools for the development of Safety Critical Software languages (IDE's, Compilers etc).
You might really enjoy coding, learning about code and OO design, learning about computers and love solving problems?
Perhaps you've always had a keen interest in software for aircraft, medical devices, defence systems or similar highly complex systems?
You might be looking for a role in a smaller more involved working environment where everyone gets to have a say regardless of experience?
You might know about at least one high level object orientated software language (that could be C, C++ Ada, Java or Python), but wish to learn even more and progress further?
All we ask is that you are inquisitive, have a desire to learn, and are keen to contribute what you know already.
The most important factor is that you are able to fit into a smaller friendly company, and give it your all!
A Degree in Software or a Computer Science related field would be helpful.
The company is based in brand new offices in Bristol City Centre which is an ace city to live in with loads going on in the evenings and at weekends. They also have offices in Paris and New York City, and travel will be part of the role too.
Once a year the company throw a global party for their employees so you will get to visit some sweet places as well during the course of your career here and probably make some really good friends into the bargain.
This is one of the most exciting roles we have had in quite some time so please get in touch if you are a full on Software Engineering geek/enthusiast/coding demon! If you are the type of person that loves beavering away on their Raspberry Pi then you probably should apply!
Please note: Safety Critical Software Engineering experience can be taught and learned.
This role will come with full support and you will be assigned a mentor or buddy as well to help you start off in the job.
Security Clearance is not required but you must be eligible to work in the UK.
