Our client specialises in armoured vehicles and is looking to move into new areas of development at the moment with growth in 'Bespoke' vehicle product development and manufacturing activities. This growth is forecast, with several projects already on the high level plan. Projects include civilian, defence, security, military, NGO and OGAs.
The opportunity for full project ownership is huge, the project manager will be given full accountability and will have the scope to run the program in their own style whilst working within our foundation processes. The PM (PMO) is the customer facing individual concerning the project(s) / programme(s) that they are responsible for in delivering or assisting in the delivery of. Customer relationship management is of the highest priority and ensuring customer satisfaction (CSAT) is paramount alongside business risk management. The PMO staff are the centre of gravity in the business for all standards relating to project deliverables; cost, timing as well as providing the team with foresight, leadership & motivation. Working in a matrix structure the integrity of the core competence areas will be owned by those areas. The Project Manager (PMO) is the customer (internal / external) facing point of contact for all project related issues.
Our clients’ Project Management Office (PMO) is a service organisation created for the specific purpose of managing and supporting the company's incoming and existing vehicle / survivability and business change projects / programs / portfolio. The success of the PMO is derived exclusively from the success of its customers (both external and internal).
A self-motivated, flexible and competent Project Manager with the ability to command respect will thrive in this role. Someone who is capable of putting their stamp on the project as well as the business by way of influencing a positive, productive and problem solving attitude. The need to be customer facing and empathetic to customer needs is essential and having pride in performance and products is key. Experienced in risk management, highlighting and assisting commodity line managers to evolve mitigation plans. To adopt an 'in the eyes of the customer approach' across the wider business.
