Senior Architect – Central London - £50k to £55k+
We are proud to be working with this leading design led based Practice and helping them appoint a Senior Architect to join their London Studio. Situated only a short walk from London Bridge they are looking for a Senior Architect with three years + post qualification experience to help collaborate on a range of projects from inception to completion and at the same time mentor and develop the team. You will work closely with the Partners help reinforce their design ethos across the business. They have a diverse range of projects within their portfolio, including Education, Commercial, Healthcare, Residential, Civic and Cultural however upon joining you will initially be working on a Education project.
With a client focused approach the successful candidate will initially running a Private Sector Education Scheme so past experience on projects of this nature would be highly desirable. You will find yourself leading a small team of between 1- 3 people so strong people and leadership skills are also expected. You will be influential on both a design and mentoring front as the practice grows and as the project develops. With over 50 staff based across two offices they pride themselves on having a very flat hierarchy, offered you the opportunity to take the lead and really grow your career within this collaborative environment.
Key requirements you will be expected to demonstrate
To be considered for this role they are looking for a RIBA Part 3 qualified Architect with a minimum of three years post experience, demonstrating project delivery on work up to £20m in value. You will have in depth knowledge of UK building regulations and have be able to demonstrate at least three years’ experience working for a UK based practice. As an ideas driven Studio they are looking for people with a real sense of creativity.
With a major focus on BIM within the Practice you will be a confident Revit user, able to demonstrate consistent use across all project stages, with evident on the delivery front from Stage 4 onwards. With a strong design focus you will have both the graphic and technical know how to communicate design ideas across a range of mediums including CAD, Sketch up and Adobe Photoshop, as well as first class freehand drawing skills. As an ideas driven Studio they are looking for people with a real sense of creativity who can work closely with the client to pull together their needs and help delivery award winning solutions. NBS will feature in the role so you should also be able to demonstrate a good understanding of NBS to write specifications
