Lead Buyer (Mechanical) - Stevenage - £40 - 47k per annum + bonus and benefits.
A well-established global client who are the world leader in their industry sector are seeking a Lead Buyer to join their Mechanical team based onsite in the Stevenage area.
As a Lead Buyer you will be responsible for procuring and managing supply chain for direct and indirect products in the Mechanical domain.
This is a diverse role working with a fast paced, multinational and dynamic procurement team who pride themselves on professional excellence. This role will also provide you with an opportunity to develop procurement strategy for new and emerging technologies, leading negotiations with suppliers to optimise cost and quality of products and building strong collaborative relationships with internal customers in order to effectively serve their needs.
This represents an excellent opportunity working as the Procurement focal point within this category helping to secure a supply base for new and existing requirements.
In order to be considered for this opportunity, the successful candidate will be CIPS Level 4 qualified or equivalent and have prior experience of managing all activities within Procurement and Supply Chain with an in depth knowledge of principles, practices and processes. You will also have good knowledge of Mechanical technologies including Machining, Casting, Fabrications and Fasteners etc.
