Position Title: Deputy Head of Global Operational Treasury
Reporting to: MD, Global Treasury Operations
My Client is a global team of practitioner advisors deliver practical hands-on solutions to address our clientfs treasury challenges. Our clients come from a broad range of industry sectors; often portfolio companies of financial sponsors. The successful candidate will lead the development of the business across EMEA, in conjunction with the other regions in delivery of the review, establishment and management of treasury operations, and recommendation of improvements. Fulfillment of this role will not only require strong technical skills and a deep understanding of treasury, but will also be dependent on business development, sales, and marketing experience.
The Deputy Head of Global Operational Treasury will be responsible for:
Growing the Operational Treasury business within EMEA/APAC.
Working with marketing team members to provide support for the marketing activities and initiatives of the Operational Treasury team, as well as other teams globally.
Working with our treasury panel community and colleagues in Risk Management to drive the business growth and development agenda.
Manage the delivery of client assignments from the London headquarters as well as on-site with clients. The scope of these assignments may include any aspect of treasury or related activities. Including but not limited to cash and liquidity management, optimizing working capital, the management of bank relationships, debt and covenant management, financial risk management (including identifying and hedging interest rate, foreign exchange, and commodity exposures), treasury management reporting, treasury organization, recruiting treasury personnel, and implementing treasury technology.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of the candidate who fulfills this role will include:
Management and improvement of lead generation campaigns: measuring results as well as suggesting and implementing improvements.
Coordination of marketing campaigns to deliver marketing initiatives for treasury clients.
Consistency in reviewing and improving client output, presentations, proposals, the website, etc.
Creation and publication of all OT marketing material and collateral in line with marketing plans.
Driving growth by complying with business disciplines as well as providing proactive and valuable input into improving processing and marketing.
Supporting the planning and implementation of marketing and sales activity to enhance the reputation, to target and develop new client as well as financial sponsor relationships, and expand the services provided to existing clients.
Leading and managing the delivery of treasury consulting and interim management assignments per professional standards as well as working with other consultants and client management teams as appropriate.
Supporting the review of treasury and related risks during the pre-acquisition due diligence phase of a financial sponsor transaction.
The ability to define, establish, and be responsible for the interim management of treasury activities, including supporting the recruitment of permanent resources.
The ability to review, propose, and implement policies and improvements to certain components of the existing treasury operation, including leveraging the best practices to implement and addressing practical considerations.
Working with or under the supervision and guidance of other team members, either from the UK or another office, and/or reporting directly to the senior members of the financial sponsor deal team or ongoing management team; directly to the client CEO, CFO or other client personnel.
Management of resources from clients, temporary resources related to delivering the engagements, and working in conjunction with banks and other client advisors.
Working with clientfs global operations located anywhere in the world and delivering on-site assignments at the clientfs offices, primarily in Europe. When not at client locations, the consultant will work from office in London, with occasional travel to other offices.

The successful candidate will be hungry for a senior management role will have unquestionable business ethics, outstanding communication, people management skills, adaptability to different situations and environments, and a professional attitude.
An undergraduate degree with honors in finance, business administration, economics, accounting, or a related area.
A minimum of 10 years experience with business development preferably in a senior treasury role in the corporate sector, or comparable consulting experience.
Experience with identifying and implementing the strategic, operational, technological, and personnel requirements for the treasury of a corporation or division.
A working understanding of accounting and tax issues related to treasury management.
Experience with preparing and presenting financial and business analyses and presentations, as well as working directly with boards of directors and/or executive management.
Proven people management skills.
Well-developed negotiation and transaction management skills with banks and other advisors.
Knowledge of the financial sponsor sector is a plus.
