ABOUT THE ROLE
An opportunity has arisen for an Electric Vehicle Powertrain Test Manager to oversee the Electric Vehicle Powertrain test department which has grown significantly over the past four years and recently received a multi-million pound investment to grow the business further. The role holder will be responsible for the equipment and overall management of the department which currently consists of 10 engineers and 6 technicians to ensure that the department delivers customer projects with precision, pace and passion. This innovative department is at the forefront of a hugely exciting industry that is undergoing rapid evolution. The team has achieved a number of ‘firsts’ with key customers and the new manager will provide the leadership for the department to continue to excel.
The Electric Vehicle Powertrain Test Manager role is a permanent full-time role that’s key focus is to deliver customer projects within schedule, budget and agreed scope of quality. The role holder will have regular interaction with customers, internal departments and the senior leadership team. The role will play a key part in expanding the Electric Vehicle Powertrain Test capability onto a second, dedicated site in Milton Keynes.
The role will be based in Milton Keynes, a city at the forefront of Electric Vehicle infrastructure development, situated in the heart of the Oxford-Cambridge technology corridor and with great road and rail access between London and the Midlands. Milton Keynes and the local area also boast great leisure, retail and restaurant options.

•Have an engineering degree (2:1) or equivalent in engineering or an applicable science
•Strong technical understanding of EV powertrains, AC/DC HV systems testing and data acquisition
•Have project and/or team management experience – familiar with project planning & implementation, cost tracking and priorities management
•Comfortable owning, adapting and delivering plans against fast changing requirements and tight timescales
•Capable of steering meetings, extracting key actions/issues and determining required action
•Good IT literacy skills
