An opportunity has arisen within Customer Support & Services (CSS) organisation for a Technical Author to create and maintain world-class technical documentation relating to products, systems and processes. These Technical documents are created using Standard Generalised Mark-up Language (SGML), Extensible Mark-up Language (XML) and traditional formats and enable safe and effective operation and repair of the products and equipment. These documents cover the whole product lifecycle through design, development and in-service support.
Working autonomously as part of the Technical Publications team, you will be responsible for the design and creation of technical documentation in either Standard Generalised Mark-up Language (SGML), Extensible Mark-up Language (XML) or traditional formats
Developing key relationships and working closely with ILS (Integrated Logistics Support) engineers, Training Instructors and Field Support Engineers (FSEs) in developing Maintenance Task Analysis.
Championing the functional and departmental improvement activities at both a national and international level.
This role also provides the successful candidate with opportunities to work with our international colleagues on some of our high-profile multinational projects.
Deliver, or assist in the delivery of technical publications to the highest quality, on time and on cost.

Experience in technical authoring to S1000D standards, producing documentation in SGML and XML formats
