Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Mechanisms) – Surrey - £45k – 55k per annum
A well-established manufacturing client are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team at their manufacturing facility based in Surrey.
As a member of the Design team you will work on multiple products and influence the product offerings to fulfil the requirements of high level business critical projects, you will be responsible for a high level of electro-mechanical technical design, analysis and test, working within an exciting and fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities include; Design and analysis of new or evolution of existing mechanism products working closely with other areas of the business. Hands-on engineering including development, build, testing and integration. Managing multiple tasks and work packages in parallel with changeable priorities. Mechanical design including: stress-critical components; precision tolerance analysis; drafting; materials awareness; and fabrication/manufacture methods appreciation. Authoring technical documents (e.g. design reports, procedures, test reports)
In order to be considered for the positon of Senior Mechanical Design Engineer you will must hold a MEng or BEng or equivalent in Engineering or closely related discipline. Use of CAD and FEA software knowledge is preferable with design/idealisation intent.
It would be advantageous to have knowledge of components (e.g. bearings, actuators, transmissions, feedback devices)
Strong engineering capability coupled with a positive attitude is essential for this role.
