This role will be working with a highly established IT Services company specialising in Infrastructure technology and services including IT lifecycle management, Managed Services, and Consulting & Project Services. They provide onsite and remote Managed Services for a variety of customers across Telecoms, Retail, Media and Financial Services. The Citrix Engineer will be based onsite with a Financial Services client based in London. The ideal candidate will be experienced with supporting Citrix Infrastructure Support that is used to provide the virtual and brokered desktops and published applications to the Client's business. Managing current versions of Citrix platform software is essential to this role. Citrix technology (CCP-AD or equivalent) certifications will be beneficial or experience of managing: Citrix XenDesktop (5.6 FP1+), XenApp, PVS, AppSense, Web Interfaces or Storfront and Edgesight in a large corporate environment. Applicants should have a good understanding of Windows Client operating systems (i.e. Microsoft Windows 7) and understand how a Virtual Desktop is provisioned.
The successful applicant will be working with a highly productive team who support, maintain and deliver to these environments. Applicants will need to demonstrate that they are a good self-starter, with a persistence to identify root cause; who can work with third parties to plan and implement changes; work with Release management and the Application support teams to deliver new software to the estate using the common Release processes and automated build processes.
