2X Engineering/Maintenance Technicians required to work on night shifts at one of my key clients sites in Debden paying £53,316 as a starting salary with an opportunity to increase to £54,154.

The Engineering Technicians will be required to maintain the site production and plant equipment to achieve optimum up time and performance. To proactively contribute to all continuous improvement strategies. Some building maintenance activities may be required within the role.
The hours you will be working are 9.10pm - 06.35am Monday to Thursday
What you will be doing on your nightshifts:
-Support operations in a professional manner to ensure all business targets are met.
-Perform periodic maintenance checks and procedures on all production equipment in order to maximise equipment uptime/performance.
-Identify/perform and deliver TPM maintenance and provide support/training to other staff.
-To review/analyse data to identify areas of improvement.
-To respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner to ensure continuity of production, report findings and record solutions.
-Able to complete PPM schedules and input data into site CMM system
-To monitor, control, and recommend spare part stock to maximise the availability of production equipment.
-To provide support and advice on potential operational and performance improvements including, training and documentation.
-To support the introduction of new equipment including Training, Installation, Commissioning, Customer handover and maintenance.
-Liaise with machine vendors to resolve problematic issues.
-Manage contractors whilst on-site to ensure site safety and security standards are delivered.
-To provide support to production teams in problem solving activities.
-Be flexible in terms of hours and shifts to maintain continuity of production.
-To maintain a high standard of workmanship, work safely, and comply with current Health, Safety & Environmental legislation at all times.
-To undertake projects within the scope of production and support services and suggest/support continuous improvements to proactively support the Engineering/Maintenance regime.
-Work within security procedures adhering to company security policies.
-Use record keeping tools to ensure equipment defect history is maintained.
What you are expected to know:
-NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds or equivalent as a minimum qualification or 4 years craft apprenticeship or equivalent with the ability to demonstrate o the job experience including multi-skilling
-Qualified with 17th Edition Regs.
-Experience and working knowledge of using a CMM system
-Experience and working knowledge of TREND BMS systems
-An active contributing member of a progressive flexible manufacturing team.
-Knowledge in continuous improvement techniques, 5S, SMED, Lean and Six Sigma an advantage.
-Fully conversant with intricate, electro-mechanical control systems.
-Fully compliant with Elec/Mech schematics
-Experience with Vision and Laser Systems
-Able to understand and improve complex process systems through the use of well developed PLC software skills (Siemens/ABB PLC) and work safely on integrated processes such as hydraulic and pnuematic systems.
This role will be working nightshifts and will be a starting salary of £53,316 (including shift) and will increase to £54,154 within progression path.
Due to the nature of the role you need to be eligible to undergo security clearance being either a British citizen or have proof of work and living in the UK for the past 5 years if you do not have this then please do not apply.
