We have a fantastic opportunity within a leading automotive OEM. The client's state-of-the-art headquarters in Gaydon, Warwickshire is built upon the passion, skill and creativity of the people who dedicate their working lives to the most iconic brand in the world. The purpose of this role is to deliver NVH technical leadership for our new mid-engine supercar.
-The candidate will be higher degree qualified or can demonstrate equivalent expertise gained in a NVH lead role
-Has a command of whole vehicle development, and expertise in an NVH sub attribute (Chassis, Powertrain, or Body Structure)
-A good understanding of design guidelines and issue mitigation; with experience of test, development, and verification
-Can demonstrate a working knowledge of state of the art development techniques including latest hardware and software development toolsets
-Ability to process, analysis and report findings to publication standard.
-Working knowledge of problem solving processes (e.g. PPS, 8D, 6 sigma).
-Whole vehicle attribute assessment skills and Proving ground permit holder.
-Lead NVH vehicle architecture, development, and issue resolution.
-Provide cross attribute integration strategy and support NVH integration through vehicle, system and component benchmarking, target setting, and development.
-Deliver optimum engineering solutions with successful and timely resolution of issues from benchmarking, targets setting through development, verification and manufacture.
-Modal alignment strategy.
-Management of internal and outsourced activities, planning and budgets.
-Strong organisational skills and critical thinking - experience dealing with different and conflicting priorities.
-Strong analytical and problem solving skills. You will need to be capable in using appropriate analytical tools and comfortable reviewing simulation and test data.
-Clear communicator - ability to translate complex things into a simple and clear message for a variety of stakeholders.
-Flexibility and commitment - you’ll need to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into a variety of jobs as part of the Vehicle Attribute Engineering team, and we’ll expect you to approach every task with the same enthusiasm and commitment.
-High technical ability to successfully coach engineers and provide individual development.
