Electrical Integration Engineer
Coventry (commutable from Worcester, Birmingham, Northampton, Oxford, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire)
Electrical Integration Engineer to provide a focal point and leadership for all electrical/electronic engineering, specification and integration aspects of Special Vehicle Programmes.
" Work with Chief Engineer and QAO Engineering Team to define and specify electrical/electronic features and content of new vehicle content.
" Producing automotive network architecture designs for automotive communication systems for the entire vehicle.
" Developing ECU signal configurations for automotive networks such as LIN and CAN as well as ideally WiFii, BLE, 3G and other wireless standards.
" Testing and analysis of network communication.
" Identifying and correcting faults in communication networks.
" Identifying communication networks security threats and propose methods to mitigate them.
" Creating and confirming requirements for bus load and latency for all network frames.
" Liaising with function owners and systems engineers to ensure that system level decision making reflects implications for vehicle networks.
" Assist with development of, and oversee delivery of DFMEAs and DVP test plans.
" Provide link service department, manufacturing, purchasing, Marketing, Legislation etc, as required.
" Create new functions and find ways to integrate into existing architecture according to QAO requirements.
" Engineering degree or equivalent.
" Experience and knowledge of vehicle programme delivery from an electrical/electronic perspective.
" Intuitive knowledge of fundamental engineering principles and theory.
" Wide knowledge of all vehicle electrical systems.
" Experience Authoring technical documentation (specifications, Procedures, references).
" Extensive knowledge of Vehicle networks (CAN, Flexray, LIN).
" Ability to capture requirements and define the layout of a complex electrical systems.
" Expert in the development and application of vehicle communication systems.
" Proficient in the use of Network tools including (CANoe, CAPL scripting, Data Loggers)
" Industry standard vehicle network design tool chains such as Mentor Graphics VNA/VSA or Vector PREEvision.
" OSEK Network Management principles.
" Design factors, constraints and considerations impacting on vehicle network architecture design.
" Tools and techniques for network measurement and analysis to confirm specified behaviour.
" Optimisation of vehicle logical and physical network topologies.
" Ability to plan and estimate development tasks and deliver on schedule to meet project timing requirements.
