Data Security Programme Manager
To develop and lead on Data and Information Security agenda working across the organisation to establish pace of change, best practice, appropriate use of technology constantly seeking to minimise the risk of any data security incidents, ensuring our data remains safe and protected.
Communicate the implications across the business in order to facilitate decision making, allocate resource, manage risk, and drive towards required outcomes.
Develop and oversee the management of a number of Data Security change management programmes with responsibility for delivery of the projects within agreed scope, timelines and budget.
" Lead on the Information and Security Agenda, developing and implementing change programmes that will ensure excellent processes, procedures, education, awareness, technology and resilience around data and information security.
" Shape and develop a culture whereby safety, security and resilience are integrated into every facet of our work, ensuring colleagues have the appropriate tools, information and education to support this agenda.
" Identify, evaluate and monitor risk associated with information security and work with the relevant teams to ensure that the appropriate work streams are working towards mitigating such risks.
" Lead on the embedding of a consistent framework of control across all business units.
" Create and embed an effective governance structure and process to ensure projects and programmes are supported by a clear case for change, desired outcomes, accurate scope, risk assessment, clear roles and decision making mandated.
" Partner with each of the appropriate business areas to build strong working relationships that support delivery of the change agenda.
" As a member of the Group finance leadership team, contribute to the development and implementation of the strategic plan to ensure the objectives are met.
" Ensure actions, decisions and processes take account of risk appetite and the potential impact on the risk profile of the area, escalating any uncertainties together with proposed solutions.
" Initiate, build and maintain strong working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels of the organisation including directors and senior managers, both internally and externally.
" Plan and execute rollouts of security system deployments by reviewing building plans; develop drawings and work with internal business partners and customers, third party system integrators and manufacturers.
" Manage a team of contract Security System Consultants and Installers, Project Managers and Service Technicians.
" Assess physical and logical security implementations and make risk management-based recommendations that consider impact on business operations, system architectures, manufacturing processes, culture and work
" Implement a variety of security technologies, utilising high quality and best practice solutions and technology
" Manage project timelines and make timely communications to internal business partners, end users and the senior management and team
" Must have experience of managing large scale projects or programmes of work across numerous divisions / teams
" Experience of leading project teams
" In depth knowledge of project life cycle, project management tools and best practice techniques.
" Excellent knowledge of data protection regulation, information security standards and ICO guidance
" Establish and ensure regular due diligence on data protection highlighting areas for concerns and leading on actions for the business ensuring compliance and best practice approaches are engaged
" Outstanding planning and organising skills and be able to hit milestones as a result of effectively managing a programme of works and range of projects.
" Strong oral and written communication skills and an ability to influence and inform the senior management team.
" Must be able to work effectively at all levels of an organisation and influence key decision makers.
" Experience of leading or influencing and motivating a team of skilled project managers and develop them to deliver timely business objectives.
" Excellent interpersonal skills and able to demonstrate confidence, drive and flexibility and operate collaboratively and with integrity.
" Preferably accredited with a recognised project management qualification such as Prince 2, 6 Sigma/Lean Sigma or Agile or similar level acquired by experience
" Technical qualification at degree level + including Data or Information Security management
