My client are looking for 2 x Maintenance Engineers, Electrically biased. Working a mix of Days/Nights based in Bolton paying up to £38,298 (depending on level of experience)
As a Maintenance Engineer you are required to ensure that all plant and equipment is maintained to maximise productivity and quality in a safe environment. Reporting directly to the Engineering FLM the role requires you to act on your own initiative referring to Project Engineers for technical or departmental policy advice only when necessary.
Some of the things you will be responsible for:
-To maintain production plant and equipment.
-Diagnosing any mechanical or electrical failure through root cause analysis
-Undertaking repairs as necessary.
-Changing worn parts that are reducing the performance of the equipment
- Diagnosing when preventative maintenance may be required and to carry out and document the necessary work.
-Liaising with suppliers when required to repair and / or maintain equipment.
-To maintain the site and buildings in good order
-Liaising with the manufacturing management on larger maintenance jobs or projects, and to supervise any subcontractors that may be used to carry out the work.
-To assist the Project Engineers in the manufacture of project equipment when required
-Liaising with staff from other departments as required to carry out duties and to refer to Process Leader/Cell Leader or other designated staff when necessary
What you are expected to know:
-HNC/HND in Engineering or Electronics or equivalent qualification
-Craft apprenticeship or equivalent
-Experience with pneumatics is essential and preferably some hydraulics experience
-Sound understanding of field demonstrated through previous work experience
-FLT Licence (desirable)
-Experience of computerised maintenance management systems
-Knowledge of Asset Care programmes beneficial
-Control techniques and Allen Bradley would be advantageous
-Strong Electrical Maintenance background within manufacturing is required
- Preferably 17th edition certified
For this role you will be required to be working on a mix of Days/Nights 36 hours a week and the shifts will be between 6.00-18.00 and 18.00-6.00.
