Supply Chain Planner
2 Year FTC
Paying up to £29,116
I am recruiting for a Supply Chain Planner on a 2 year FTC basis in Essex paying up to £29,116.
You will be equired to Plan & Prepare a workable production programme with respect to the budgeted year volume, putting in mind the resource & capacity available while preparing a production forecast that interprets the expected orders or volumes that covers both short and long term forecasts. This being achieved by ensuring that materials and the logistics required are available and in place to facilitate this process.
-To create a budget and delivery plan based on set size and spoilage rates
-To provide a production plan that is realistic and measured, taking into account production constraints (manpower) and engineering requirements (maintenance). To monitor and provide performance measures against plan to enable options for recovery
- To report actual production performance for managing WIP
- Maintain regular contact with central planning and commercial to provide ad hoc planning scenarios
-Responsible for all planning spreadsheets and ensuring they fall in line with Sage activities
-Responsible for setting up sales orders, work orders, and manufacturing BOM’s into sage, chasing work through the processes and highlighting any discrepancies
-Responsible for providing a paper and foil schedule to procurement for ordering and initialising material request forms for contract work until such a time this is passed over to purchasing
-Responsible for collating, verifying and analysing statistical data for planning and management
-Responsible for running the weekly and daily planning meetings, chasing up actions/non-attendees.
-To create paperwork for shipments and ensure deliveries meet forecast
-The above list is not exhaustive. You will be required to undertake other duties within your capabilities, consistent with this role, to support the needs of the business.
What you are expected to know:
-Advanced level Math’s and English
-Experience of planning systems and material control (highly desirable)
-Demonstrable experience in Production/Supply Chain Planning or in a similar role
-Advanced user of Microsoft office suite, in particular Excel
-Good Interpersonal skills
-Flexible and adaptable
-Willing to challenge existing work systems
-Works well in a small team
-Accurate and Precise
-Works with minimum supervision
-Prioritises own workload
Due to the nature of the enviroment you will be required to undergo security clearance so to be eligible for this you will need to hold a British passport or a valid visa and have proof that you have lived and worked in the UK for the last 5 year.s
