Mechanical Design Engineer / Lead – Special Purpose Machinery x 3
Location: Poole, Dorset
Salary: £35,000 (Engineer), £45,000 (Lead)
Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer with a solid background working in the Special Purpose Machinery industry who fancies a new role on the Dorset coast, or have always dreamt of moving to one of the most beautiful areas on England’s sunny south coast?
A special purpose machinery company have had some senior management changes in recent years resulting in fresh ideas and a constant flow (more like a burst water main) of business coming through the door, hence the need for additional staff across controls engineering, proposals, applications engineering and more.
As a mechanical design engineer, you will be responsible for translating conceptual designs in to fully manufacturable products, working with other internal teams internally to ensure the customers’ requirements are being brought to life. You will currently be working in a similar role for a machine builder and wearing multiple hats from design, development, test, sourcing materials from suppliers and more. For the lead position, there will be a degree of project management and team leadership.
