Who you’ll be working with
Working within a specialist ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) Centre in Telford, which focuses on delivering business benefit through the Atlassian tools – JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Jenkins, Bamboo.
What will my role be?
The ALM Consultant is a highly-skilled and increasingly in-demand role. A hybrid business consultant / technology solutions provider, you will work with customers to understand their business requirements, delivering these as working technology solutions. You will also provide product training and consultancy.
What will I be doing?
Develop and maintain subject-matter expert knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Processes and Tools, providing a direct contribution into technical leadership and governance in this area. The candidate will be expected to achieve Atlassian Certified Professional status.
Develop and maintain subject matter expert knowledge of all Atlassian products including its core technologies, plus relationships with plugins and associated technologies
Support evaluation of proposed tools to ensure they are fit for purpose both technically and commercially
Download software, provision environments on both Private and Public cloud and run proof-of-concept exercises
Support approval of tools for inclusion within the Application Lifecycle Management / Continuous Integration toolkit
Deliver technical sales, supporting Capgemini in Atlassian partner obligations
What will I bring?
Administrator knowledge of all Atlassian tools, especially JIRA and Confluence, as well as broad-ranging knowledge and experience of other Atlassian applications
Integration of Atlassian tools to other market leading ALM and service management technologies such as, HP ALM and Service Now
Strong knowledge of Agile
Understanding and application of code management, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment
Previous experience in pre-sales and business Analysis and Application architecture skills essential
