The position as Supply Chain Manager will be based in Staffordshire facility and is a crucial role to the wider brand.
This role is accountable for managing and leading their global supply chain activities including strategic process transformation, supply chain planning, material requirements management, inventory management, supply chain performance and logistics. This role will report to the Facility Manager for Stafford, and lead a team of Supply Chain professionals based at Stafford and our sister facility in Aurangabad, India.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Accountable owner and custodian for inventory management to ensure levels meet enterprise inventory turns targets while achieving customer delivery performance targets.
Accountable for logistics processes to ensure point of use material availability.
Works with product managers to ensure supply chain strategies are developed and aligned with worldwide sourcing strategies.
Accountable for ensuring material requirements for both facilities are met. Partners effectively with suppliers and collaborates with supplier performance managers to identify and mitigate risks to continued on-time supply of materials.
Supports NPI programs by ensuring that supply chain processes support successful product introduction, minimizing aged inventory or obsolescence.
Ensures that all Supply Chain processes are robust and compliant with enterprise policies and procedures.
Responsible for coaching, developing and mentoring department resources. Incumbent is responsible for all personnel issues and performance evaluation of direct reports, including development, capability building and succession planning.
Extensive experience of leading and managing all aspects of Supply Chain processes across multiple facilities in numerous global locations within a large-scale manufacturing business from a relevant industry. Relevant industries may include: automotive (or related), engineering, heavy industry and fast-moving consumer goods.
Strong leadership experience and a proven ability to lead, coach and develop existing teams.
Strong influencing skills, and a proven ability to build positive and collaborative working relationships with key functions and senior leadership within a large organization.
Proven ability to establish a strong governance structure, reporting mechanisms and best in class supply chain processes and policies.
High-level of business acumen with the ability to make decisions taking into consideration multiple variables.
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
Supply-chain related professional accreditation or qualification is highly desired
