Manufacturing Project Engineer - 9 months FTC paying £40,000 - £50,000 p/a based in Essex.
Working for a well-established organisation you will be required where part of the project has already been implemented around the equipment installation, they now need someone like you who can help with the layout of offices within the factory floor as currently the he offices are in the middle of the factory and this needs to be relocated.
What you are required to do:
- Responsible for the delivery of PAUP Engineering projects through technical feasibility, design construction phases to commissioning and handover.
-Plan, organise and control (and regularly review) the project, in order to ensure the achievement of both day-to-day and longer-term targets with respect to quality, output and costs.
-Manage/produce all relevant project documentation to include technical drawings, risk assessments, permits to work and planning/construction permits as required.
-Ensure all projects are delivered on time, to specification and in line with stated budget.
-Coordinate the on-site works including contractors, sub-contractors and specialist engineering interventions as required.
-To ensure that maximum value for money is achieved from contractors and suppliers.
-To co-ordinate with Planning to minimise the impact of the project on day-to-day operations
-Actively promote team working and effective communications.
-Be responsible for ensuring Health and Safety (H&S) is promoted within the department's work planning & execution in line with the Company's H&S management systems & any relevant initiatives.
-Give guidance to others in order to solve technical and operations problems.
-Work within the team to improve methods, productivity and efficiency.
-To support the project coordinator in the delivery of technical documentation for handover to business as usual
-To work with suppliers and contractors in completion of the 3Cs, PUWER and Health and Safety lists outstanding from the machinery installation
-To coordinate and manage the systems transformation projects (namely PI/MTS) and to deliver on time in budget
-To support the behaviour of working as one company, sharing best practice and collaborating with colleagues outside of own sphere of business.
- To ensure full participation in the performance development review (PDR) process and maintain an up to date record of all training and development activities/programs.
-To always act and behave in a way compliant with all company guidelines and policies, especially those relating to values and behaviours, environmental health and safety, ethics and codes of conduct, as it is through living our values that we strengthen the culture of our business, and demonstrate our understanding of our Code of Business Principles.
