Description
Our client, is a large blue chip company who are actively seeking a controls engineer to join their team based in London.
The successful applicant will design, develop, test and commission controls HW, such as panels, cabinets, wiring, based on Siemens controls products for the functions of a Baggage Handling System consisting of conveyors, sorters, etc. This person works closely with the Mechanical Engineers and other required Engineering disciplines in order to design the most efficient and workable equipment. The role is intended to take a junior candidate and provide hands on experience and full training in a demanding fast paced environment requiring hard work and attention to detail. The successful candidate needs to be prepared to work hard and willing to take responsibility directly in front of our customers and end users.
Education: Minimum A Levels, with HNC / HND (Electronics or Electrical) or higher level (degree) qualification. Candidates must exhibit a high competency level regarding the understanding of electronics and electrical systems. Also high level of aptitude towards IT subjects required (PC's, Networks etc).
Knowledge/Languages: Mechanical inclination and knowledge of how controls and mechanics affect each other. Basic knowledge of Electrical Motors, Pneumatic & Hydraulic systems and components. System Design & Concepting, Implementation/Commissioning/Testing, Operational
