Job Title: Senior Production Engineer/ Extended Well Test Supervisor - Kampala, Uganda
Job Purpose: My Client is setting up an Extended Well Test system by mid 2010, which will allow for long term testing of appraisal wells without flaring. Produced crude will be trucked for use in local industries. The well tests will provide valuable information as input into the development projects as well as provide early experience with production and transportation of waxy crude. The incumbent will coordination all aspects of the execution of the Extended Well Testing Program, from operations up to the hydrocarbon accounting.
The incumbent will also closely liaise with the development teams in London and Cape Town, feeding back well test results, but also providing production technology and production operations input into future Field Development Plans
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Education:
Solid and allround EP professional, engineering degree or equivalent with considerable experience. The candidate should be a seasoned production technologist, production engineer or production programmer.
Skills & Competences:
* Sound knowledge in area of production engineering, production operations or production programming
* Good overview of the oil exploration and exploitation business.
* Strong technical back ground, able to work independently
* Experience with well test operations
* Experience with articifical lift systems
* Experience with well monitoring and optimisation
* Familiar with metering and hydrocarbon accounting principles and systems
* Drive and passion on to get things do
