Principal Vessels Enginner
Job Profile
The Principal Vessels Engineer is required to strengthen Vessels department lead engineer capability and nuclear project experience. Likely to support FEED and EPC projects of the following types; Power, Nuclear waste processing and decommissioning, Underground Gas Storage, Gas Processing Plants
The Principal Vessels Engineer will use technical writing skills and experience to support the delivery of project related documents to Supplier designed packages, Data sheets, Bid Tabulations, Material requisitions, carry out the design and specification of pressure vessels in accordance with PD5500, ASME VIII Div 1 and 2, PED and TEMA.
Experience of Vessel design programs such as PVElite, Finglow, Ansys, etc
Specific experience in the following technical areas would be beneficial:
Pressure Vessel and Heat Excahnger design for Nuclear waste processing and decommissioning projects
The successful applicant will have a degree or equivalent and be a chartered Professional Engineer with around 20 years experience in Nuclear or Power Sector including 5 - 10years in lead engineer role
Specific competencies required
Pressure vessel design experience
Experience of Safety Case and Design Justification Reports required
Experience of analytical calculations an advantage
Understanding of Engineering Contractor working environment
Ability to interface with Clients, suppliers and other discipline engineers
Should be experienced in Lead Engineer role
