My client continues to draw on its long history and experience in wire and wireless communication equipment, and is a leading manufacturer of a wide variety of advanced products, including communication equipment, instrumentation and control equipment, information terminals, and manufacturing equipment. In particular, they are acknowledged as the world leader in measurement systems for ISDN optical communications.
Role:
" Analyse documentation requirements for wireless based products
" Develop high quality technical documentation and literature to accompany these products
" Understand the systems and applications for which documentation is to be prepared
" Gather and analyse customer information needs
" Work closely with the Engineering, Support and Marketing teams to research product information
" Develop content as required drawing on multiple and varied sources
" Prepare product Manuals in electronic format.
" Work with the Engineering team to develop online help systems
" Review Engineering task sheets
" Participate in ensuring that tasks are performed in accordance with the Department's ISO9000 Quality Procedures.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
" HNC or above
" Excellent command of the English language and capable of writing high quality, consistent technical material.
" Proven ability to demonstrate an understanding of 3G technology, particularly in relation to the air interface and signalling protocol. An understanding of telecomms, wireless, radio, wimax, wlan, bluetooth, microwave, rf or GSM technology would be useful.
" Working knowledge of Word, Framemaker, HTML, XML
