Mechanical Cost - Value Engineer
3 Mths Contract

£30-35ph
Our client is a world leading supplier of state-of-the-art electron spectroscopy equipment and UHV vacuum systems and components. The UHV component market is becoming increasingly competitive and a good cost position is essential.
The main objectives of this project are to: 1) Define target cost point; 2) Perform feasibility to achieve cost target; 3) Evaluate options to achieve cost target; 4) present options and recommend course of action. The project could carry on into the implementation of cost-out depending on outcome of first part of project.

KEY DELIVERABLES:
" Presentation of evaluated and costed options to achieve target cost
" Implementation of recommendations to achieve target cost (depending on outcome of first part of project)
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
" Mechanical Engineer or similar degree desirable

" Proven ability of Mechanical Value Engineering
" Design ability of mechanical assemblies
" Able to deliver 'cost out of product' projects
" Excellent ideas generation and communication skills
" Excellent computer skills (Word, MS Project, Excel, Power point, Email, MRP)
" Excellent problem solving techniques
