Storage and Network Engineer - Bracknell - Up to £43,000 pa + 25 days holiday + Pension + Health Insurance + Stock Options
A provide of high technology and cutting edge IT Systems is looking to employ a new Storage and Network Engineer. This role will is a fantastic opportunity to work in an environment using the latest in SAN and NAS solutions. The ideal candidate will have a broad LAN/WAN background and covered two or more of the follow areas:
2 or more of: - NAS - SAN - RAID - Networking, - Unix Servers or - Windows Servers
The Storage and Network Engineer will be responsible for:
- Supporting External customers with a range of products and solutions - Analyzing non-functional equipment/software to identify problem areas and recommended corrective actions and assisting customers with installation and troubleshooting - Defect creation and management - Live webex remote support - Learning 3rd party vendor products - Problem resolution via defect management - Developing best practices around solutions
Requirements:
- Good verbal and written communication skills - Good knowledge of computer/storage/network products/protocols in LAN/WAN environments. - Ability to be able to develop and document technical and operational notes related to process and procedural changes - Effective communication with customers and internally with engineering and other functional areas - Ability to work with customers under variety of circumstances and pressures and understand and meet their expectations is a fundamental - Passionate about customer service and problem solving. - Ability to participate in weekend rota (one weekend in every five).
