SQL Server Database Administrator - €55-65,000 + Great Benefits - Dublin

My client are one of the most successful and fastest growing online gaming companies in the world today. Highly successful and very profitable this premiership online gaming company are seeking three senior SQL Server DBA's to join the team in the beautiful city of Dublin.

This position will be primarily focused in the day-to-day administrative and operational tasks of managing and supporting a large, transaction-intensive database environment.

As the SQL Server Database Administrator your responsibilities will include:

• Identifying and correcting performance issues, reviewing systems and error logs, storage management, backups, job monitoring, optimisation efforts, data integrity analysis and resolving database contention issues
• Supporting development efforts including specifying requirements, developing test plans, setting up test environments including generating test data and data migration, creating/modifying tables, views, stored procedures, and triggers, developing ad-hoc queries and reports
• Designing database schemas and managing object permissions and accesses
• You will have a well rounded background in the principles of software design and implementation
• Proficiency in a broad array of technical skills including, operating systems, networking, databases, data structures and commercial application development
• Ability to work with large complex systems and develop new enhancements
• Develop design specifications, author internal documentation and participate in the review of these documents


The SQL Server Database Administrator will ideally have proven ability in:

• Performance tuning and optimisation skills
• Disaster recovery methods and capacity planning
• Worked in a large database environment
• Data modelling
• SQL Server clustering
• T-SQL savvy
• Data warehouse
• Windows 2003 Server and SQL Server 2005
• Common sense and trustworthiness

Online Gambling or iGaming experience would be beneficial. (Although absolutely not essential)
