Lead PMO Resource Manager

My client a leading FTSE 100 Organisation is seeking a Lead PMO Resource Manager on a contract basis to manage a large Programme Office Team and a large Portfolio of Projects.

The Lead PMO Resource Manager will have the following responsibilities:

- Supporting/managing a number of subsidiary programme/project offices for support and guidance on programme/project governance, monitoring and control through effective co-ordination, planning, financial control and management reporting.
- Provide leadership for the programme team in the development of key control deliverables and add further value through developing insights into programme activity
- Create, implement and manage appropriate governance and professional standards, processes and templates to ensure effective monitoring and control disciplines are applied across projects and programmes
- Responsible for Resource Forecasting and planning to meet Portfolio Demand
- Support the reporting Framework ensuring timing, consistency and quality

Skills / background required:

- Proven evidence that you can lead a project support team on complex projects
- Has worked on a project with Clarity (PPM Tool)
- Can manage a project using the Prince methodology
- Has worked in an Agile delivery environment

With a good understanding of:

- Risk management techniques
- Quality management systems
- Project planning tools and techniques including Gannt, Critical path analysis
- Change control, configuration management systems
- Programme, Project Planning Management Tools - Clarity
- Budgeting and cost management
- Stakeholder management
- Use of office IT applications and technology (eg. MS Office, Video conferencing)

Has awareness of:

- IS and Business organisation and functions
- Life cycle design and management
- Financial and commercial/procurement management
- Legal rights, duties and processes including DPA, DDA and HAS
