Description
Refrigeration Engineer - (night shift)
Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for carrying out the initial service, repair or planned to large industrial refrigeration units.
- Carry out planned maintenance to large industrial refrigeration cooling tunnels, blast chillers and freezers.
- Fault find and investigate
- Liaise with other engineers as necessary.
- Repair necessary equipment and then test it to ensure that it is all in working order.
- Install any new equipment that is needed to meet the customers' requirements.
- Understand the different temperatures needed for each type of equipment and adjust them as required.
Applicant Requirements:
- Ideally you have a recognized electrical engineering qualification or equivalent time served apprenticeship
- The successful candidate must hold a relevant refrigeration qualification such as City & Guilds.
- Ammonia handling qualification would be an advantage however you can be trained if necessary.
- Fault finding and diagnostic skills.
- Proven technical background.
- Organised and punctual.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks when needed to carry out work in a timely and effective manner.
- Experience in the maintenance and repair of cooling rooms, blast chillers and freezers, and cooling tunnels.
- Proven Refrigeration and Air Conditioning background.
- Please note you must be flexible as you will be required to work on a shift pattern, within a fast moving food production environment.
