Description
Our Client is the world's largest manufacturer of turbochargers for the medium-heavy duty diesel engines market and has a reputation for bringing innovative solutions to the specific product requirements of this key market sector.
They are seeking a Test Technology Manager to join their company on a permanent basis.
The Test Technology Manager will join the Laboratory Operations team to manage the design, implementation and maintenance of turbocharger test facilities worldwide in support of all R&D, New Product Introduction and Current Product Support activities
Key Duties:
-Management of staff and resources to complete group workload and achieve overall departmental objectives
-Leading the design, implementation and maintenance of capable and accurate test facilities world wide including:
- the building of new facilities along with the refurbishment and upgrading of existing test installations
- the development of computing and controls systems to capture test data
- the development of test rigs for component durability and performance testing
- the development and implementation capable maintenance procedures
- Development of processes to ensure reliable delivery of test facility capital projects to plan and on budget.
- Working with relevant component experts and functional specialists to develop and implement new methods of testing.
- Develop strategy for the introduction of future test technologies to the Laboratory Operations department.
Experience/Qualifications:
-Proven degree in engineering or related subject area
-Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing test technology from a strategic perspective, ideally with in the automotive, power or gas industry.
Salary - Circa £43k + Benefits
