Our client is a global world-class, multi-industry consultancy for engineering, technology, project innovation and strategy. With a century of delivering value they employee over 1600 professional consultants, engineers and staff world-wide.
They are seeking Assembly Technicians to be responsible for the assembly of low volume, high value driveline systems for a variety of customers.
Key Responsibilities
" Working as part of a team to achieve team objectives
" Good communication skills with ability to talk to customers and sensitivity to commercial factors.
" Clear, logical thinker with the ability to understand and solve problems.
" Problem solving and fault finding / investigation on complex, high precision mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
" Problem solving in a high-tech specialist engineering environment.
" Operation of test equipment.
" Basic machining including surface grinding. Working with complex, technically advanced mechanical / hydraulic systems.
" Providing in-field maintenance and problem solving support to customers.
Skills
" Proven ability in the assembly of complex, high precision mechanical, hydraulic and / or electrical systems.
" Precision measurement from first principles using manual measurement equipment.
" Ability to read engineering design and assembly drawings.
" Intermediate level of PC and general computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge
" Likely to have served a traditional apprenticeship. Further vocational qualifications an advantage.
